Blenheim Palace

On June 1st, we woke up for breakfast at our B&B. Cole had eggs, bacon and something called “fried bread”…literally a piece of white bread fried in oil. Not his favorite. I had cereal, a croissant with strawberry jam, mixed fruit and juice. I was so tired and made Cole nap with me before driving to Blenheim Palace on our way to visit Oxford University. Pregnancy naps. We had gorgeous weather. When we arrived, we had a picnic on the grass with cheese, crackers, bread, and fresh fruit.  We took a tour of the palace and saw the Winston Churchill exhibit. It was an amazing tour and we had a wonderful guide. After the tour we walked through the Italian Garden, walked down to the lake and waterfall, admired the work of landscape artist “Capability Brown”, laid out on the grass in the sun, explored the secret garden, and enjoyed the perfect weather and perfect day! On our way out we bought a small box of salt and vinegar chips from the cafe for a snack, but I was still so hungry. I kept talking about how delicious a backyard grilled cheeseburger would taste…pregnancy cravings.
