We drove to Madison, Wisconsin and stayed for a night on our way to Chicago. It was our first time in a hotel with the boys – and thankfully, everyone slept great! R did awesome sleeping in his own bed while S slept in a crib courtesy of the hotel. It was a first day with perfect weather for playing in the sun and fountains at Millennium Park. We stopped by the silver bean “Cloud Gate” for some fun and outstanding views of downtown Chicago.
Some amazing views of Chicago as we walked from Millennium Park to the Lakefront Trail to Buckingham Fountain…
Chicago has the COOLEST playground I have ever seen! The 3-acre Play Garden in the southeast section of Maggie Daley Park has so much to do and explore with views of Chicago as its backdrop. We could have stayed all day…
R was so happy running and splashing through the water at Crown Fountain. It was probably the highlight of my day seeing him having so much fun running wild with all the other kids. Such a good time on a hot humid day in Chicago!
Our first trip as a family of four was a success! I had so much fun with the boys and happy we were able to spend so much time together making memories. So long Chicago! Until next time!
Whenever I see my kids like this, I feel like a champ!
