We spent an afternoon at the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm, a fossil site and museum that has preserved thousands of dinosaur footprints at the original site of discovery. In February of 2000, the site was discovered by accident by a local optometrist who was excavating his property. Today, the site contains the most numerous and best preserved dinosaur tracks with thousands of fossilized dinosaur footprints, and preserves a 200 million year old lake ecosystem that includes dinosaurs, fishes, plants, sedimentary structures, and other animals. There is also a fantastic children’s exhibit in a classroom full of hands-on activities which our boys loved!
