Historic Walking Tour in Downtown Stillwater, Minnesota

I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers in Stillwater, Minnesota! I know that’s not the exact quote, bit it sure feels true!

On a crisp autumn morning I went on a self guided tour to see Stillwater’s historic homes and downtown Main Street. The fall colors were so beautiful in the sunshine, and I loved all the spooky Halloween decorations ahead of All Hallows’ Eve! The Stillwater Heritage Preservation Commission developed free self-guided audio and visual walking tours as a way of bringing history and place together for both Stillwater residents and visitors. Although I used my car to get from place to place, I often use these self-guided walking tours to visit many of my favorite landmarks in Stillwater during all seasons of the year.

Tour brochures are available online, or in person at Stillwater City Hall, 216 North 4th Street.
