After our Apostle Islands Cruise and lunch at the campfire, we drove to Cornucopia to explore Siskiwit River. When we arrived, we parked and made the very short hike down the trail down to the river. There were no other people around, and it was a very quick, easy hike to the river and falls. The kids were so excited to get their feet in the water, and found a good place to leave their shoes, shirts, and hats. The kids wade through the waterfalls and we hike all the way up through the falls to where there is a natural water slide! Then we hike all the way down the river and the boys collect giant tall walking sticks, rocks, and fun shaped wood sticks to play with. They have such a good time! The whole experience was magic! When it gets late, we towel off and drive back to our campsite, make dinner, and bake biscuits. We fill the hot campfire biscuits with blueberries, Nutella, peanut butter, chocolate, and whipped cream for dessert. We sit around the fire and keep warm under the stars. The kids love telling spooky stories until it gets really late. Another great day exploring Bayfield and the Apostle Islands!
