International Festival of Minnesota!

I had such a great time with local Minnesota author friends on Saturday at the RiverCentre Convention Center in St. Paul for this year’s International Festival of Minnesota (IFest-MN)! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, read, and support our books!

The International Festival of Minnesota is a celebration of culture, community, and connection. The event gathers over 70 nations and ethnic communities to share food, music, art, dance, traditions, and cultural demonstrations. The event brings around 25,000 attendees, 7,000 students, and 1,000 performers. It offers a hands-on, heart-opening experience that fosters understanding across generations and provides a deeper understanding of each other’s heritage.

I was really impressed by the event. It is truly amazing to see so many different countries and cultures represented right here in the Twin Cities. I enjoyed sharing BABY GO! travel board books with so many, whether buying for their babies, families, friends, colleagues, students, classrooms, or libraries. My favorite part of the day was when two sweet girls ran over because they recognized my books. They have been reading them at their local library and already owned a copy at home. They asked for a picture together and it really was the highlight of the day! My absolute favorite part of author events is meeting and talking with readers, and hearing your stories!
