Science Museum of Minnesota

We thought it would be fun to finally check out the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul. We were really impressed with the museum and stayed the whole day! We loved all the hands-on exhibits in the Experiment Gallery. We also created a tornado out of water mist, played with air stream, observed a wave tank, experimented with size and perspective, explored math concepts, and learned about dinosaurs and fossils! So fun and interesting for both kids and parents. Of course the kids also enjoyed seeing the iconic 60 foot long 7,000 pound astronaut. It was created for the 2014 Coachella Music and Arts Festival and now occupies a five-story interior space at the museum.

There was so much to explore and we didn’t even get to see everything. We are so glad we can come back anytime now that we have a pass.

The “Sportsology” exhibit helps us study the body in motion and gain a better understanding how to make a basket, swing a racket, or score a goal.

Learning about dinosaurs and fossils. One of only four real Triceratops on display in the world is at the Science Museum of Minnesota. It is the largest complete specimen on display and is a museum favorite.

The museum also hosted cultural arts and performances. We really enjoyed it!
