Squash at the Gymkhana Club

Monday, December 30: I slept all night! Wake up at 7:30am, FaceTime Cole and the kids, H is walking all over! He was so excited to be showing off for me! The boys are happy, and I was so happy to see them. Breakfast (Thai fruit, juice, toast), tuk-tuk, Dad and V go to Gymkhana Club to visit and play squash, it was SO FUN!!! We played 6 games, Dad beat V all 6 times but he let me get close to winning a few. It was super fun! While enjoying a lemon soda at the restaurant, we were able to call and reserve a class with Grandma’s Cooking School. Hooray! We took a tuk-tuk home in time to meet mom at home from her shopping trip to Chinatown. We all took a songthaew (truck) to Festival Mall, a NICE BEAUTIFUL shopping mall. It was new, clean, with lots of fun stores like my favorites: Daiso (Japanese dollar store), Uniqlo (Japanese clothing store), Marks & Spencer (British department store), Yoshinoya (Japanese fast food). We went to S&P (a family favorite) for lunch and ordered khao soi, it was SO DELICIOUS! Then we shared an order of mango sticky rice at the mall food court (YUM!) while watching the missionaries from our church ice skate on the ice rink below. After lunch we shopped at Daiso, Dad and V went to see Star Wars: Rise Of Skywalker at the fancy Thai movie theaters (there were SO many Thai commercials before the previews then EVERYONE in the theater is required to stand for the King’s song!), after the movie we met back up with Mom, shopped at a swanky grocery store, admired all of Thai fruit, checked out their amazing assortment of non-alcoholic sparkling beverages from various countries, bought some for NYE, took a taxi home, chatted with the very friendly taxi driver who speaks English and Chinese named Andy after HK’s Andy Lau, V FaceTime with Cole and kids, then off to bed!
