Summer in England: London Eye, Jubilee Gardens & Horseferry Playground

V takes kids to lunch at Pret A Manger for V’s yummy tuna nicoise salad. The kids ordered sandwiches, apples, popcorn, and granola yogurt. We take the bus to Jubilee Gardens and visit the playground under the London Eye. The kids love seeing the huge London Eye and being so close! We play at the playground for a longtime. It was pretty busy with a lot of children, but we still had a lot of fun. We have a break for snacks and water, then walk from the playground to Westminster Bridge and enjoy the view of Big Ben and the Thames River. From there we walk through Westminster, past the Houses of Parliament and stop at Horseferry Playground. It is such a darling playground, and not busy at all! It is shady and quiet with lots of fun things for the kids to do and as a bonus there are toilets available too! We talk to Cole on the phone after work and decide to meet him at Coco Ichibanya for dinner near Bond Street. V walks with the kids to the underground, and take the tube from Westminster to Bond Street. We meet C at the restaurant and enjoy such a good dinner! Our kids love Japanese curry! We take the tube home, make a wrong turn, then get stuck in a hail storm at the overground station. The weather was wild! After the fierce hail stops, we see a beautiful rainbow when we arrive back to St. John’s Hill in Clapham Junction.
