After C picks up our rental car, we drive to Glastonbury. We read books from the library on the way until we arrive at a cute little village with interesting shops. The village has kind of a witch vibe (because of Morgana’s legend). We park the car and have a picnic lunch on the lawn at the museum. When we finish our picnic, we make our way to hike Glastonbury Tor. Absolutely beautiful hike with amazing views! We love the hiking trail, kissing gates, and Tor on the top of the hill. Our 3 year old was so upset there was actually no Morgana or lava or stairway under the Tor into the underworld haha. We enjoy the views, take pictures, and make funny videos of the boys slow motion jumping. Then we hike down back to the village, get back into car, take a break for the facilities, and drive to Stonehenge. We realize we can’t buy day-of tickets online for Stonehenge, so we drive there and plan to buy at the entrance. When we arrive, we park, buy tickets, see the exhibits where the kids enjoyed the Neolithic houses and trying to pull the monolith. We get on the shuttle bus to Stonehenge. The kids absolutely loved Stonehenge! They ask so many questions, walk around the stones, we take pictures, read the signs and try to learn all we can about the stones. We take the shuttle bus back to the visitor center, then drive to Salisbury. It is such a cute village with 14th century buildings, an impressive cathedral, and old city wall! We park and walk to see the cathedral and walk through the city wall. We have dinner at Prezzo for Italian pizza and pasta. The kids loved it – and they were so hungry! The kids meal came with pizza and cloudy lemonade and the choice of ice cream/Nutella sticks/fruit lolly for the boys – each picked one. We walk back to the car and drive back to Bath listening to Audible books along the way. We arrive home at 10pm, H is asleep in the car, we bring kids in the house, H hurries upstairs and curls up and puts himself to bed. It was so cute! We brush teeth, and get ready and put them to bed for a good night’s rest. Goodnight!
