In the morning we walk to Sainsbury around the corner to pick up some essentials. We then walk to the Bath bus station to figure out the bus pass. The kids are hungry so we stop at Franco Manca for sourdough pizza lunch near the station. Each of us got the kid’s special: a fresh baked margarita pizza, glass of juice, and scoop of ice cream! The boys loved it and it really hit the spot. It seems the longer we are in Europe this summer our family really has started dining the French way: we must plan a minimum 2.5 hours for each meal! When we finish lunch, we get cleaned up and get a taxi from the train station to take us to the Bath City Farm. We have a super nice driver who gives us lots of tips for traveling around Bath. We arrive at the City Farm which is up on the hill with gorgeous views of Bath! The farm has cute chickens, rabbits, and lots of goats! The boys feed the baby goats straw and pet them. It is so cute! They can’t get enough of the baby goats (or “kids” as they like to say)! We walk over to see the sheep in the field on the other side of the kissing gate. We have fun bleating at the sheep, and the sheep bleat back. We feed the giant pigs, snort at the pigs, and the pigs roll in the mud. We walk through the kissing gate on the nature trail, see ponies and sheep, then find the playground back near the entrance and play until it’s time to go home. Since we couln’t call an Uber or taxi we ended up walking to a bus station. Unfortunately we see the bus leave just as we arrive at the stop! We wait almost an hour for the next bus! Of course the buses in the countryside are no where nearly as dependable or frequent as London! The kids are so patient and so good while we wait for the bus, which is delayed and delayed again and running very behind. We are finally able to get on the bus and arrive at the City Center near the Sainsbury by our Airbnb. We pick up more groceries for dinner and a family movie night. Each boy picks a treat and we get popcorn. After our dinner and movie night, the kids get showered, brush, and Cole calls from Germany to say Goodnight! We read scriptures together, pray, then its off to bed!
