The morning of May 27, we picked up granola berry yogurt pots and bananas for breakfast from Pret A Manger, packed up, then checked out of our hotel. We tubed to Paddington Station where we got tickets to Bath Spa and hopped on the train. After reading and napping on the train, we finally arrived in Bath with a little rain. We taxied to our B&B – a lovely, cozy place with hot chocolate and shortbread biscuits in the room. We googled Cole’s favorite cupcake shop then briskly walked through the town of Bath, navigating the winding streets until we found the place. We bought a couple of cupcakes to go and the shop keeper recommended lunch at Cafe Lucca just around the corner. We walked into the charming cafe with beautiful rustic tables and a gorgeous display of cakes and cookies. I ordered the mozzarella, tomato, basil pesto panini, and Cole ordered the mozzarella, tomato, basil bruschetta with oil and vinaigrette dressing with a slice of leek quiche and fresh garden salad. It was the most delicious lunch ever! We couldn’t resist ordering a warm chocolate chip cookie and slice of carrot cake with ice cold milk for dessert. From there we walked around town and picked up some groceries from Salisbury’s for the next day.
