Beach, Rain & Lobsta in Cape Cod, Massachusetts

On our second day in Falmouth I woke up to the sun rising at 6:30am and sounds of waves crashing and seagulls off in the distance. I stood out on our deck and saw this beautiful sight!

Each morning, the innkeepers served a beautifully prepared breakfast for all their guests. Fresh fruits like jumbo blueberries, raspberries, cherries, mango, melons, peaches, kiwis and bananas with croissants and pastries along side freshly squeezed orange juice. Then they would bring out hot from the oven home-made quiche or delicious cinnamon Belgian waffles! What a filling breakfast and sometimes you felt it was all too pretty to eat! The inn dog would come and find Cole at our breakfast table. He loved Cole!

Despite the cloudy skies and rain (it’ll take more than that to stop us!) we decided to drive out to Woods Hole and explore the popular Nobska Point Lighthouse.

This was my very first time seeing a lighthouse in person! Very cool. And I think the rain and clouds made it seem all very romantic!

We saw so many other beautiful sights. Here is St. Patrick’s Church near Main Street.

Another very old church on the other side of Main Street.

Lots more cute houses. This is the one my mom loved the most!

And the one Cole loved the most.

After the rain stopped, Cole and I took a walk along the beach. Cole found lots of cool seashells and brought them back to the inn. Unfortunately he forgot to bring them home with us and the inn still has them! I also love all the wooden fences that are out here on the beaches in Cape Cod.

For dinner we went to “The Quarterdeck” on Main Street for the town’s best lobster or as the locals say “lobsta!”

This was my first baked lobster dinner ever. Our waitress said their lobster “was to DIE for!” and surely enough it did not dissapoint! I thought it was sooo delicious!

Cole loves lobster and ate it practically every day. Baked lobster at The Quarterdeck…

Lobster Ravioli with jumbo scallops at La Cucina Sul Mare Ristorante…

Surf ‘n’ turf at Todd English’s Kingfish Hall at Faneuil Hall Marketplace…

And yes, even lobster ICE CREAM at Ben and Bill’s Chocolate Emporium!!
