The day after our hike to Observation Point we went for a drive along Mt. Carmel Highway and through the Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel to see Checkerboard Mesa and Grand Arch. The fresh white snow on the red rock really showed off the cross-bedding. We hiked the Canyon Overlook Trail which ends at the top of Grand Arch. If you want an easy 1 mile hike that offers spectacular views then the Canyon Overlook Trail is great. Cole and I had a lot of fun. Just be cautious of really steep cliffs!
