Horse racing, good food, and southern hospitality. Kentucky has it all! Here are some things to love about Louisville. We stayed at the Galt House Hotel overlooking the waterfront from downtown Louisville. Several famous people have stayed here before, including Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and Charles Dickens. We had a great time visiting Churchill Downs, the racetrack famous for hosting the Kentucky Derby. The tour was fascinating, and afterwards we had to watch Disney’s “Secretariat”. We also visited the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory!
