Happy Thanksgiving! The boys woke up so excited for the day and wished everyone in the house a Happy Thanksgiving! It was raining in the morning so we packed the boys up in the 4Runner and Cole mapped out a route for a self-guided driving tour of downtown Dallas. We saw the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Dealey Plaza, John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza, The Sixth Floor Museum Building, Pioneer Plaza, Giant Eyeball, Klyde Warren Park, Belo Mansion, then we drove to Turtle Creek to see the mansions in Highland Park. We loved the houses and Christmas decorations! The boys had fun picking which house was their favorite. We had so much fun driving through the Highland Park neighborhood, and I would say it was definitely the highlight of our drive around Dallas. We headed back to the house in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Smoked brisket and smoked turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pies, candied yams and dinner rolls! The table was set, Martinelli’s sparkling, and everyone was ready to eat! All of the food was SO delicious! The boys ate SO much smoked turkey and kept asking for more! A Thanksgiving feast they will never forget! Everything tasted incredible! Naptimes, desserts, Top Gun Maverick, and then it was off to bed for the kids while the grown ups stayed up late watching a movie and playing Nintendo! What an awesome Thanksgiving Day in Dallas, Texas!
