The night we arrived back in Salt Lake City from Boston we received a nice surprise. My cousin and his friends were in Salt Lake City on his way to Durham, North Carolina and wanted to meet up! It was my cousin’s first time to the States so we took the opportunity to show them around and have some fun.
On Sunday we dropped them off at Franklin Covey Field for their first baseball game ever. They said they enjoyed eating hot dogs and singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” which they thought was our national anthem. They also wondered why a man in the stands ran onto the field during the game without his clothes on. They asked, “does that usually happen?” I told them no!
After the ball game they all wanted to see the Great Salt Lake. I hadn’t been out there in years and it was surprisingly very pretty! Too bad the lake smelled so terrible and there were bugs everywhere. Here are some pics from that afternoon.
After our visit to the Great Salt Lake, we got some fresh air up in the canyon. We drove to Brighton Ski Resort to see the mountains and enjoy a short hike.
