Hiking Ensign Peak in Salt Lake City, Utah

We took the kids for a morning hike to Ensign Peak in Salt Lake City. This family friendly trail offers some amazing views and is historically significant as a place where early settlers looked out over the valley and mapped early plans for Salt Lake City. From the top of Ensign Peak you can see the Utah State Capitol, downtown, the mountain ranges, and the Great Salt Lake. We’re glad we left for the the hike in the morning because it got pretty hot! The trail is not shaded so make sure to bring your sunscreen and hat!
