The Hong Kong Jockey Club is one of the oldest institutions in Hong Kong. It was founded in 1884, and in 1959 it was granted a Royal Charter and named The Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club. When my family lived in Hong Kong, we were members of the Jockey Club and would go and swim and have dinner some weekends. I always wanted to see a horse race in person but never had the chance. We decided it would be fun to finally go experience a night at the races!
