Journey to the West: St. George to Salt Lake City

It was time to say goodbye to family in St. George and drive up to Salt Lake City to meet up with Cole, Blue and more family. In the morning I packed the boys up in the rental car and drove non-stop from St. George. We actually only stopped once on the side of the road for a potty emergency and once to fill up the car. It was an awesome drive and the kids did great! After driving with little kids plus a puppy from the Midwest to Utah, the short 5 hour drive from St. George to Salt Lake seemed like a piece of cake! It was great seeing family and feeling the arrival of spring! We took the kids on a lot of outings and to so many places where we have fond memories. I also took the kids to see the cherry blossoms at the Utah State Capitol on a sunny day and I also taught the kids how to make giant bubbles and bubble wands with a homemade recipe in the backyard. The kids made and popped bubbles forever! Blue had fun chasing and popping bubbles too! We had a great visit to Salt Lake City to see family with our kids and Blue.

The cherry blossoms at the Utah State Capitol Building were so beautiful on a sunny day. It reminded me a lot of spring living in Washington, DC:

We played and walked around the Oquirrh Mountain Utah temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
