We took a road trip south to the laid back beach town of Kochi to satisfy Cole’s craving for katsuo-tataki (seared tuna over a straw fire). The drive through Oboke Gorge was absolutely stunning and we were blessed with gorgeous spring weather. Kochi is famous for having the best katsuo-tataki. We love it when it is rubbed with sea salt and served with flavorful yuzu dipping sauce, miso soup, rice and mugi-cha.
We visited Kochi Castle and enjoyed the breathtaking views, architecture, and old castle walls.
