Summer in England: Leadenhall Market, St. Paul’s Cathedral & River Bus on the Thames in London

In the morning after breakfast we do some cleaning at home. We decide to visit Leadenhall Market today. We walk to the bus station and it’s a beautiful hot and sunny day! The bus drops us off and we walk the rest of the way. We walk past Borough Market. It is really crowded but looks so nice! We’ll come back and visit another day. We continue walking to Leadenhall Market. It is beautiful! We have lunch, unexpectedly find the Leaky Cauldron from Harry Potter, then walk to the Bank of England Museum. From there we walk to St. Paul’s Cathedral and visit the courtyard. We sit on the benches and have a snack and play on the grass. From the Cathedral we walk across Millennium Bridge to Shakespeare’s Globe. The views of London are beautiful! We get tickets for the River Bus on the Thames. The kids love riding the boat all the way to Battersea. We enjoy gorgeous views of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben from the water! The boat takes us all the way to Battersea Power Station. The surrounding area has a beautiful park, tons of restaurants, and we arrive just in time for a sunset view of the Thames. We walk to Battersea Park, find a bus stop and head back home. C gets kids ready for bed, V gets date night Japanese take out and gelato. Date night at home while kids sleep!
