We packed up our camping gear and headed into the High Uinta Mountains over Labor Day weekend. We drove past Kamas and camped near Mirror Lake. We were surrounded by so much beautiful scenery and went on a hike to Twin Lakes for fishing. We had good luck fishing and both caught trout.
Once we returned to camp that evening it started to rain. We quickly set up a tarp to hide under so we could keep dry. We cooked our delicious tin foil dinners and hot cocoa on the stove and watched the rain pour down all around us. Then it turned into hail! As soon as the hail stopped we cleaned and packed everything up and got ready for bed. I was so happy to crawl into my warm sleeping bag! The next morning we woke up bright and early to fresh snow everywhere! It was so beautiful and magical. It really snowed in August!
