Last time I came to Paris I had completely missed out on the Musée d’Orsay, so this time around we made sure to visit. We spent the morning surrounded by works of art created by Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Pissarro, Degas, Manet, Cezanne and many others. The building itself was even aesthetically pleasing as it was a former railroad station from the early 1900s located right on the banks of the Seine.
For lunch we grabbed some food to go from a corner cafe and ate on the Seine’s river walk. That was the best lunch I experienced in France! Cole had a flat bread pizza with a strawberry tart for dessert and I had an incredible pesto chicken sandwich with sun dried tomatoes and Dijon on a whole wheat baguette.
I also had a mini crème brûlée for dessert, the first of many more to come. We simply enjoyed watching the boats and ferries go by with the view of the Eiffel Tower as we ate. Next we’re off to Versailles!
