Summer in England: Natural History Museum & Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in London

In the morning we walk to church. We enjoy a wonderful sacrament meeting and the kids attend Primary. We meet so many great people and new friends. We walk back home, change clothes, then walk down to get fish and chips for lunch. It is so good! We walk to the bus stop, and bus to the Natural History Museum. The museum is absolutely amazing! The building itself is incredible! The whale hanging from the ceiling, Charles Darwin statue, dinosaur fossils, and so much to explore. H falls asleep on Cole’s shoulder as we walk around. We take a snack break, and H sleeps on the cafe bench. So jet lagged! After the museum, we tube to Buckingham Palace. There are so many people! We walk around the Buckingham Palace walls and everything is blocked off with police and event staff for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The boys are invited to sit on police motorcycles and it is the highlight of their day! We find red phone booths and the kids play and talk on the phone inside and they think it is so fun. We walk through St. James Park, see Buckingham Palace and decorations for the Jubilee celebrations. On our way home we have dinner at Shake Shack. After taking the train home, C puts kids to bed while V walks home from the grocery store carrying groceries in the rain. Good thing I wore my trench coat! They kids also loved journaling, drawing and working in their Adventure London books!
