For the next part of our adventure, we took the Chunnel from London to Paris. Once we arrived in the “City of Love and Lights”, we visited La Sainte-Chapelle. I loved sitting quietly and admiring the stained glass in the upper chapel.
We took a self guided walking tour of the city and rode around on the Metro.
We also wandered through little Parisian neighborhoods with old churches, bookstores, and cafes. We found a crêperie where I introduced Cole to Nutella crêpes, my favorite snack in Paris. I have to say that we liked the food in France better than in England! We made a visit to Notre Dame just in time to hear the bells toll and witness mass.
And that evening we walked to Champs de Mars and saw the Eiffel Tower! But we didn’t go up yet. We decided to save that for another day.
