Thing To Know: Fall Activities in Stillwater, Minnesota
*Country Sun Farm has a corn pit that is like a giant sandbox made of over 2,000 square feet and over 1,500 bushels of corn! A great fall activity for all ages. The farm also has hayrides, a corn maze, petting zoo, and retail shop with pre-picked pumpkins, gourds, mums, squash and Halloween decorations.
*Axdahl’s Garden Farm & Greenhouse is perfect for the fall harvest season. Push a wheelbarrow and pick your own pumpkins from the patch. Enjoy colorful mums, gourds, and corn stalks. Admission is FREE.
*Brown’s Creek State Trail is a beautiful 6 mile long paved multi-use trail situated on a former railroad grade. The trail connects the Gateway Trail, which begins in St. Paul, to the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway in downtown Stillwater. The trail is scenic year round, but biking among the colorful fall foliage is our favorite!
*Stillwater Harvest Fest is one of the Midwest’s premier giant pumpkin festivals! The event takes place on the second weekend of October each year and includes a giant pumpkin weigh off, pumpkin drop from a 100 foot crane, pumpkin regatta in the St. Croix River, live music, chili cook off, local vendor market, and more!
