Last week, our dear friend came to visit Washington, DC all the way from Tokushima, Japan! It was so fun seeing her again and we had a great time showing her around our Nation’s Capital. It was her first time visiting the United States so we tried to pack in as much as we could, starting with the U.S. Capitol Building and White House:
One of things she really wanted to see was the National Gallery of Art. Cole and Vincent van Gogh:
Ginevra de’ Benci, the only Leonardo da Vinci painting in the Western Hemisphere:
We visited the Smithsonian Natural History Museum because it’s always a good time:
We walked along the National Mall. There’s nothing better than DC in the spring!
National WWII Memorial:
Abraham Lincoln:
The Jefferson Memorial:
We took the metro to Union Station where we had to say good-bye. Our time together was much too short, but we were so glad our friend and her family were able to come all the way from Japan to visit!
