Taipei on New Year’s Day

Some of my favorite scenes of Taipei on New Year’s Day:

Before heading back to Hong Kong, we stopped to see the places we used to live, where my brother and I grew up and went to school. It was a fun stroll down memory lane, and I am so glad Cole was there for it. We made it to the airport in time to catch an earlier flight to Hong Kong, and as a bonus, we all got upgraded to first class seats. Not a bad way to start the new year! Thank you mom and dad for this incredible trip to Taiwan!

My elementary school, Taipei American School. I loved this place!

My preschool where I have so many memories:

We lived in the penthouse of this high-rise apartment in Tianmu:

We also lived in this big house on Cherry Hill with a swimming pool and yard. Look at it now – it’s been abandoned for years!

The steps we used to walk down from the Cherry Hill house whenever we went into town. I was so little and would always ask my dad to carry me!
