Taipei Taiwan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

New Year’s Day started out right. It was a blue sky morning and we visited the beautiful Taipei Taiwan Temple. I have so many memories of visiting here with my family and seeing artwork of this temple displayed in my home  when I was growing up. This temple always makes me think of my mom and dad.

My mom and dad have so much history in Taiwan. My mom converted to the church here and when she was 17 years old. When she was single she lived in these apartments across the street from the temple. Her roommates happened to be sisters whom my dad baptized when he was a missionary for the church in Taiwan. My parents met for the first time in these apartments when my dad came back to Taiwan after finishing his mission to visit the members with some friends. My mom also ended up being his Sunday School teacher and the rest is history. (Did I get the whole story right?) I love visiting the Taipei temple with my family and remembering this wonderful story of how my parents met.

For lunch we ate at Dong Men Jiaozi Guan. The restaurant has been here forever and is a local favorite. The Taiwan missionaries love it too.
