Monday, June 22: Pop tarts for breakfast (one of their favorite things about camping), drive to Sylvan Lake, lunch in the back of the pickup (PBJ sandwiches), fishing (didn’t catch anything), hike on boulders, hike trail around lake, drive scenic Needles Highway, drive through Needles Eye Tunnel, see mountain goat, and stop fo the beautiful views! Dinner at the campsite w/ hotdogs, mandarin oranges, s’mores, more fishing in the evening at the lake by the campsite, boys throw rocks, we stay at the lake until sunset, R and Cole fish at the boat dock, R catches his FIRST fish!!! He is so happy! Go back to tent for bed. Good-night!!!
