The kids complete their school work and reading in the morning after breakfast. It’s a beautiful sunny London day! V packs sandwiches and “crisps” (chips) for lunch. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to wrap the sandwiches in wax paper like the English do! After watching tutorials online, I wrap them up as best I could anyway! We say goodbye to Cole while he’s working and the boys and V go hop on a train to Waterloo Station. Outside the station we struggle massively trying to find the right bus stop we need but a nice bus driver helps redirect us. We take the bus to Tower Bridge and enjoy a packed sandwich picnic on the grass at Potters Fields Park with a nice view. S and H chase pigeons again despite me telling them to not do that. We book tickets online for Tower Bridge and go to the gift shop before our scheduled time. The kids love the double decker bus toys, London books, and V loves the London Christmas ornaments. We walk to Tower Bridge, climb up the stairs, and walk across the glass floor! It was so fun! The boys played on the glass floor and watched the cars, people, and River Thames below! We enjoyed awesome views of London from the top of the Bridge, walk to the second tower and cross on the walkway on other side, also with glass floors. The kids loved the whole experience! We came down the tower and watched the Bridge open for ships at 4:30pm then visited the Tower Bridge Engine Rooms which was really cool. The kids bought some postcards and stamps at the gift shop for their family and friends. We take the bus back to Waterloo Station and train to Clapham Junction. We meet Cole after work at The Falcon, walk to pick up fish and chips dinner, and walk home together. We watch clips of Spider Man: Far From Home with scenes on Tower Bridge. The kids play and work on their Adventure London books and draw Tower Bridge in their journal before bedtime! Really awesome day!
