Cole wakes at 5:30 AM to queue for Wimbledon at 6 AM. V takes care of kids and prepares for Airbnb checkout. Cole gets into Wimbledon with Court 1 tickets on the fourth row! Later in the day, V plans to take kids to queue at Wimbledon. C meets us at Wimbledon to take the younger two kids home, while V and our oldest kid get to spend an evening at Wimbledon together. The queue later in the day was easy compared to the morning, and it moved pretty fast. We only pay five pounds each for our tickets! It is a totally amazing experience and atmosphere at Wimbledon! We go explore Wimbledon grounds, shops, buy gifts and souvenirs, get strawberries and cream for 2.5 pounds each…and it is so delicious! My kid absolutely loves it! We find seats for a mixed doubles match with Storm Sanders. We sat at court 15 on the third row. So fun to watch! C texts V that Venus Williams is playing on Court 1 right at that moment. We leave court 15, get a drink of water, take a break, then see if we can peek onto Court 1 and see Venus. V tries lifting R so he can see her. The guard says he would let us in to take a quick photo at the break. We get to go take a photo and the other guard at the top of the steps asks if we wanted to watch the game. We said we were just going to take a photo but would love to watch the game. She lets us sit in a couple of empty seats and watch Venus play! Right when we see sit down the crowd is laughing and doing the wave and the atmosphere is just so fun! We had a great time! Eventually we left and walked to see Center Court then the Hill then decided to beat the crowd and head home. V realized she lost her Oyster Card and so we had to walk to the station and tell the staff person there. They were so incredibly nice and helped walk us to the convenience store to make sure we got a new Oyster Card and got back to the right platform. R was so good the whole evening and it was so special to spend the evening at Wimbledon with him! Perfect end to our month in London!
