Liyu Lake in Hualien, Taiwan

We drive to a big beautiful lake named Liyu Lake in Shoufeng, Hualien. It is so scenic and pretty! We stop at a little shrine where my cousin teaches the boys how to baibai 拜拜 (pray). We walk around the gorgeous lake with mist on the mountain top. We have fun, hike, skip rocks, then get some papaya milk and live shrimp for my cousin to eat. The kids are fascinated by my cousin eating live kicking shrimp. After, we drive to Cat & Rose for an Italian pasta dinner with family. It is the cutest tiny little restaurant and Azhou’s favorite place to eat. We all enjoy a lovely dinner then surprise my Dad with cake, candles, and song for his birthday. It is truly special to all be together in Taiwan. We say goodnight and on the way home some of us pick up treats at 7-11 and walk through a nearby night market before returning home and off to bed!
