In June, Cole had a work trip to Chicago so we made a family trip of it. Cole and the boys left a couple of days ahead of me and drove to Chicago in a rental car. I stayed in Minnesota with Blue to teach my YW lesson at church on Sunday. On Saturday I took Blue to the “dog hotel” and after church on Sunday I flew out of MSP to Chicago O’Hare to meet up with the boys. Thank to Cole for flying me first class! I loved hearing about the fun weekend the boys had with Cole exploring Millennium Park, the River Walk, and the awesome Maggie Daley playground. That evening we drove to see the Chicago Illinois temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and walked around the beautiful and peaceful temple grounds. Then for dinner that night we ate at the Red Lobster per the boys’ request. On Monday Cole would be heading back to work in Chicago while I did some sight seeing and adventuring with the boys.
