Summer in England: Battersea Park Adventure Playground, London

In the morning after the kids do their school work we take a bus from Clapham Junction to Prince of Wales and walk to Battersea Park Adventure Playground. It is huge! There are kids in tree tops with harnesses and carabiners (through purchased tours with the Go Ape! tree top rope course company) and the entire playground is fenced, with three sections divided by age appropriate play structures – so smart! Kids play forever and meet new friends. We take an ice cream break at Mr. Whippy ice cream truck (but R accidentally calls it Mr. Wimpy), and order “single cones with flake”, and kids love it! H chases pigeons and watches lady bugs, and the kids have a great afternoon. V starts to see them get tired and hungry so around 5pm we start to pack up and leave. We walk back to bus stop to head home and have to run for the bus as it arrives at the bus stop just in time! H is so sad and says “I’m crying because I’m so hungry!” (so self aware!) and V gives him a snack. As soon as he gets food in his hands he stops crying and says “Mom I love you”. We pick up some things from the store on the walk back to the apartment and prepare dinner in our kitchen and have family movie night. We love London!
