We spent Sunday walking part of the Freedom Trail (we have both walked the entire trail before) and exploring downtown Boston on foot. No wonder Boston is known as The Walking City! We walked all over the place! We experienced some rain showers on and off throughout the day which helped cool things off a bit. First we visited the Paul Revere statue and the Old North Church.
We loved the impressive buildings in downtown Boston near Government Center.
State Building on Beacon Hill:
A calm rainy day at the Boston Public Garden:
Make Way for Ducklings bronze statue in honor of the much loved children’s book of the same name:
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge. We were just minutes away from MIT and Harvard. We enjoyed relaxing walks around campus and had fun exploring shops and restaurants at Harvard Square.
The boathouse on the Charles River:
Bunnies running all over campus!
It is a beautiful and peaceful campus in the summer even with all the tourists.
Crossing the Charles River:
Boston’s North End:
Steak and lobster dinner:
Dusk over the Charles River. Cambridge is on the left and Downtown Boston is on the right. We love this city!
