Summer in England: Evening on the Bath Skyline Trail

While Cole is on the train from London, we pack up sandwiches and get ready to take the city bus to the skyline trail above Bath. It is a gorgeous evening and sunset. We love the beautiful Bath homes in the quiet neighborhoods, kissing gates in the fields, grazing cows, and we can hear the concert playing from the Royal Crescent. On our hike we find castle ruins on the trail where we stop to eat snacks and read a Jane Austen quote engraved on a bench overlooking Bath. After our visit, we hike back and wait for a city bus at the bus stop, and take the double decker bus back down the step hill. From the top deck’s front row, it felt like the bus was driving crazy fast and hugging sharp turns like a roller coaster! The kids enjoyed it! We made our way back home just in time ready for bed!
