Scotland with Kids: Golfing St. Andrews

The kids woke up and we got packed and ready for check out from our Airbnb. We drove to St. Andrews for our tee time at the Himalayas on the Lady’s Course at St. Andrew’s Links. It was a warm sunny day! We pay 2 pounds each to rent clubs and balls and play 18 holes (max 4 people). The kids have a great time while V kept the score card. The weather could not be better! The kids did very well and it was so fun to remember when C and V were here last time 8 years ago when I was pregnant with R! We finished the 18th hole then walked to Northpoint Cafe “Where Kate met Wills (for coffee).” We eat lunch then walk to Fishers and Donaldson for fudge donuts. We eat on the step next to the church. The donuts are just as amazing as we remember! We walk across the street to our car and begin our drive back to England. Windsor here we come!

Things We Did While Visiting St. Andrews, Scotland, UK with Kids:

  1. Himalayas Putting (St. Andrews Ladies’ Putting Club)
  2. Northpoint Cafe
  3. Fudge Donuts (Fisher & Donaldson)

Tips:

*The St Andrews Ladies’ Putting Club is probably better known to visitors from around the world as The Himalayas. The Himalayas lie between the famous Old Course and the spectacular West Sands, only a ten-minute walk from the town centre.

*Please see the calendar on the booking system online at the website for specific opening hours.

*Putters and balls will be available, however, we advise that customers bring their own equipment where possible.
