This past week Cole and I took advantage of a great travel agent promotion at the Disneyland Resort. We used my free delta passes and flew to LA and stayed at the magical Disneyland Hotel for a special rate. What an INCREDIBLE trip! Here are some highlights from the trip.
Visiting Disneyland in October was so much fun. Everything is decorated for Halloween and there are giant pumpkins shaped like Disney characters and jack-o-lanterns all along Main Street.
The Haunted Mansion gets a complete make over just for the Halloween season. There are hundreds of pumpkins all around and the ride takes on a whole “Nightmare Before Christmas” theme.
There’s also the “Halloween Tree” which is completely covered in spooky pumpkins this time of year!
One of the best things about this travel agent promo was that our hotel room included two 3-Day Park Hopper Passes!! We got to enjoy both amusement parks for three whole days!
California Adventures was decorated with lots and lots of candy corn!
The Disneyland Hotel totally rocked my socks off! We love this place for so many reasons. The hotel is located right in Downtown Disney and just walking distance from the parks. We enjoyed amenities like the Neverland Pool and even the parking for our rental car was included so we could come and go as we pleased.
Here’s the view from our room! Neverland Pool included water slides, a pirate ship and a very bubbly hot tub!
Back at Disneyland we saw Mickey Mouse leading the marching band!
We saw pirates!
We enjoyed the Haunted Mansion!
We visited Winnie the Pooh’s candy store.
And for dinner we visited Knott’s Berry Farm for their famous chicken dinner.
Then we came back to Disneyland to enjoy the Main Street fireworks and wander around Downtown Disney for the rest of the night.
Our last day in LA we were lucky enough to get a super cheap deal at the Marriott in Anaheim for one of their newly remodeled rooms on the 17th floor! It was very nice!
We spent one whole day playing at the beach. First we drove to Newport where we enjoyed a picnic lunch on the beach. After lunch we headed out to Laguna Beach which was gorgeous!
We still made it back to Disneyland just in time to squeeze in a few more rides.
We did some window shopping at the toy stores too.
Our last day in LA we enjoyed a yummy In-N-Out Burger for lunch.
Then before we knew it, we were already on our way back to SLC. We had the most amazing time! We were so sad to leave but hopefully it won’t be too long before we get to come back again!
